U.S. Diplomat Shot in Mexico

The issue of the border wall isn’t just an economic issue, it’s also a national security issue. It should go without saying that securing a nation’s borders fit the criteria of “national security.” What is a nation without borders anyway?

We don’t want the crime in Mexico putting our families at risk. Mexico is cartel land, and their cartels are statistically more dangerous (and much closer to America) than ISIS.

It’s so dangerous, one of our ambassadors to Mexico was nearly killed earlier today.

A U.S. diplomat was shot in this city when he was leaving a shopping center in a failed murder attempt. The suspected gunman was able to ran away after the attack. Police later apprehended the shooter.
Mexican Investigators with Jalisco’s Attorney General’s Office, have confirmed to Breitbart Texas that the suspected shooter has been identified as a 31-year-old man from India who then became a naturalized U.S. citizen.

The suspected shooter, Zafar Zia, was arrested by Mexican authorities as part of the investigation into the attack. At the time of the arrest, authorities seized a .38 caliber handgun, an automobile with California license plates and a wig that is believed to have been used at the time of the attempted murder.

According to authorities, Zia had moved to Guadalajara in November 2016 from Phoenix and had been residing in the city since. The apparent motive for the attempted murder appears to have been a disagreement over an undisclosed visa process.
This is insane. If diplomats aren’t safe, no one is. And that crime is coming north, thanks to our open border policy.

There are a number of US states where illegal immigrants account for 30% of murders there. Here are some stats, according to Breitbart:

Between 2008 and 2014, 40% of all murder convictions in Florida were criminal aliens. In New York it was 34% and Arizona 17.8%.
During those years, criminal aliens accounted for 38% of all murder convictions in the five states of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and New York, while illegal aliens constitute only 5.6% of the total population in those states.
That 38% represents 7,085 murders out of the total of 18,643.
And of course, terrorists wanting to enter the country could do so by entering Mexico first, then crossing the border.

Here is the video of our diplomat being shot. Warning
